Rosemarie Parsons, Somerset County Councillor for Highbridge and Burnham South

I have been your County Councillor for four years. Recently I successfully secured finance for the Highbridge Children's Centre and the Recycling Centre at Walrow.Despite early concerns from residents, this is proving to be a big success in meeting our recycling targets, and local support has been terrific. My County portfolio includes Care and Safety, Social Services, Fire Service and Trading Standards. My special interest is with Children's Services and the care of vulnerable children. I have lived in Highbridge for over 40 years and am active in many local organisations. I shall continue campaigning for the completion of the Frank Foley Parkway road and free parking in Highbridge to help the local people use their local shops.
